Entering his 40th overall season coaching volleyball, Coach Vince Escobar returns for his fourth season with Coastal Georgia. Coach Escobar will work as an Assistant Coach for Defensive Specialists and Setters.
Coach Escobar’s coaching experience includes assisting Coastal Georgia toward the 2016 Southern States Athletic Conference championship, the 2018 Sun Conference championship, and the NAIA championship playoffs in 2016 and 2018. Coach Escobar’s coaching philosophy emphasizes solid volleyball mechanics, with an emphasis toward rapid defense-to-offense transitions and in-depth strategic analyzes.
Outside of the Coastal Georgia volleyball court, Coach Escobar is quite active as the Club Director for Waves Volleyball Club in the Golden Isles region. He is a retired spacecraft and aerospace design engineer and program manager. He is an accomplished fly fisher, an online video gamer, and an avid fan of Formula One Racing.
