Mariners Drop Final Game of the Season to No. 22 St. Thomas

BRUNSWICK, Ga.- The Coastal Georgia volleyball team concluded its 2023 season on Saturday as they fell to No. 22 St. Thomas 0-3. The Mariners celebrated senior day in the Coffin Gym as Elena Gkiourda, Natalia Willhelm Heguaburu, Skylar Gribben, Madison Heskett and Rebecca Brown played their final games in a Coastal Georgia uniform.

The Mariners (8-14, 4-10) fought hard in the final two sets of the match after the Bobcats (23-2, 14-0) opened up the match with a quick 25-12 set-one win. 

Coastal Georgia was able to score 22 points in sets number two and three and made things interesting late in both sets, but the Bobcats were not shaken as they bounced back quickly thanks to the stellar play of Amanda Allene.
