BRUNSWICK, Ga. - Needing a win to stop a lengthy losing streak, the College of Coastal Georgia men's tennis team stepped up on their home courts, defeating the Georgetown Tigers by a final of 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Mariners (2-6, 0-1 SUN) overcame some early adversity to win the doubles point as both sides had one point with the point coming down to line two. Marin and Kassubeck pulled out the 7-5 win to give the Mariners their first doubles win since the ABAC match to begin the season. When singles play rolled around, CCGA dominated, securing five of the six lines in the match, only dropping line four, to secure the 6-1 win and a much needed win before the gauntlet of Sun Conference play.
The Mariners return to action on Thursday, March 13, with a double header in Hilton Head Island, S.C. CCGA will play Milligan at 12:30 followed by a 4:30 first serve against Lawrence Tech.
