JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - Despite shooting a three over 291 in the final round of the Sun Conference tournament, the College of Coastal Georgia men's golf team finished in fourth place at Pine Lakes.
Antonio Juarbe backed up his third place finish a season ago at the conference tournament with a second place finish this season, shooting a four under 68 in round three to finish three strokes off the lead at five under par. Lee Smith finished the tournament in third place at three under par with a two over 74 performance in round three, Bo Shuler shot one over to finish in 19th place, Finley Burke finished in 29th place with an 11 over, and Jake Ackerman finished in 34th position with a 76 in his final round. Individually, Brad Hammock finished in 11th place with a one under 71 in round three.
Keiser took home the trophy, defeating St Thomas by 17 strokes. Southeastern, CCGA, and Webber rounded out the top five.
CCGA will now wait and see if they have been selected for the NAIA National Championship to be held at TPC Deere Run on May 20-23.
