ROCKY FACE, Ga. - Despite holding a five stroke lead going into the final round, the College of Coastal Georgia men's golf team could not hold on for the victory, falling three spots to fourth after a third round 311 to wrap up the Roadrunner Invitational.
Bo Shuler and Lee Smith both shot the low rounds for the Mariners in round three as both shot a 76 to end their tournament. Shuler picked up a top 10 finish in ninth while Smith finished in 24th position. Antonio Juarbe finished with a 78 in round three for a 15th place finish, Brad Hammock finished with an 81 for a 26th place finish, and Finley Burke shot one stroke worse at an 82, finishing in 33rd position.
Dalton State protected home turf to bring home the win, followed by Keiser, Oklahoma City, CCGA, and OUAZ.
The fourth place finish wrapped up the Mariners regular season, as they will return to the course later in April for the Sun Conference Tournament, hosted at Jekyll Island Golf Club.
