Jekyll Island, GA - Coastal Georgia posted a convincing victory over SCAD Savannah in the men's golf match on January 23rd at the Jekyll Island Golf Club - Great Dunes course, finishing with a team score of 283 compared to SCAD's 304.

The Mariners shot five-under-par as a team on the par-72, 7,014-yard Blue tee layout, with a balanced attack that featured multiple players contributing under-par rounds. Meanwhile, SCAD Savannah struggled to find consistency on the challenging Great Dunes course, as the 21-stroke deficit proved too much to overcome.

Coastal Georgia was led by Jake Ackerman and Finley Burke, who tied for the team lead with matching rounds of 2-under-par 70. Gates Glanton added a solid 1-under 71, Antonio Juarbe posted an even-par 72, and Bo Shuler rounded out the scoring with a 1-over 73. Braylon Royal, competing as an individual for Coastal Georgia, shot 74 (+2), while Ethan Kolisz carded a 78 (+6).

For SCAD Savannah, Felix Straub and Valentin Klawitter led the way with matching 2-over-par rounds of 74. However, the Bees' scoring depth couldn't match Coastal Georgia's consistent performance. Conrad Gall posted a 78 (+6), while Connor Scott and Luke Guthrie each finished with 79 (+7). SCAD individuals Connor Wolf shot 81 (+9) and James Fraser recorded an 84 (+12).

The decisive victory showcased Coastal Georgia's depth and consistency, as all five counting scores came in at 73 or better. The Mariners' balanced effort proved to be the difference in securing the win over their conference rivals.
