The College of Coastal Georgia men's golf team earned a third-place finish out of 17 teams at the Coastal Georgia Men's Winter Invitational. The top five teams in the tournament included Southeastern University (5th), Blue Mountain (4th), Coastal Georgia (3rd), OUAZ (2nd), and Sun Conference opponent Webber International, which claimed the team title.
Coastal Georgia was led by standout Antonio Juarbe, who finished runner-up after shooting 3-under par for the tournament. Fellow Mariner Jake Ackerman placed 12th overall at 5-over par, while Griffin Blount and Gates Glanton each secured top-25 finishes to round out a strong showing for the Mariners.
With this performance, combined with solid results from the fall season, Coastal Georgia currently sits eighth in the national rankings.
The Mariners return to action on February 16 at the Kinderlou Spring Invitational, hosted by Dalton State in Valdosta, Georgia. The tournament will be held at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
