Coastal Georgia men's tennis continued their winning ways Saturday afternoon, defeating Campbellsville (KY) 4-1 to extend their record to 8-2 on the season. The 18th-ranked Mariners secured the doubles point and won three of the completed singles matches to claim the victory.
The Mariners dominated doubles competition, winning two of three matches to secure the early advantage. Salvador Pons Medina and Artur Pons Medina cruised past Noah Grossmann and Marco Hoerl 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Caspar Grylls and Geronimo Gonzalez Dolci clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory over Derrick Namanya and Artur Yakubov at No. 2 doubles. Enzo Barauna and Max Kirmayr fell in a close match at No. 3 doubles, losing 4-5 to Alex Martin and Juan Ochoa.
In singles play, Artur Pons Medina delivered a dominant performance at No. 1 singles, overwhelming Alex Martin 6-2, 6-0. Salvador Pons Medina was equally impressive at No. 2 singles, dispatching Juan Ochoa 6-3, 6-0.
Geronimo Gonzalez Dolci's match at No. 3 singles was suspended with him leading Elian Walther Jr. 7-5, 3-3. Leonard Daguinot secured the clinching point at No. 4 singles, defeating Artur Yakubov 6-2, 6-2.
Max Kirmayr's match at No. 5 singles against Fabricio Mesia was suspended at 6-6 in the first set. Campbellsville's lone point came at No. 6 singles, where Mariano Orsini defeated Leonardo Marin 6-1, 6-0.
