Biography
Sophomore Season (2024-25)
Khylan appeared in thirty-one games and earned starting assignments in all of them during his sophomore campaign at Kankakee Community College. He averaged 11.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while demonstrating improved efficiency across the board. He shot 47.1 percent from the field, connecting on 120 of 255 field goal attempts, and converted eight of twenty-four three-point attempts for 33.3 percent. At the free-throw line, he showed significant improvement by converting 109 of 141 attempts for 77.3 percent. His best offensive performance came against Malcolm X on December 10, when he exploded for twenty-three points on six-of-seven shooting from the field and ten-of-thirteen from the free-throw line. He also recorded twenty-two points against Triton on March 8 in the conference tournament. Throughout the season, he demonstrated his versatility by pulling down 103 total rebounds, including twenty-nine offensive boards, and distributing sixty-seven assists. His defensive intensity was evident as he recorded forty-five steals and sixteen blocks while maintaining a consistent presence on both ends of the floor. He proved to be particularly effective in wins, averaging 11.4 points per game while shooting 52.3 percent from the field in twenty-two victories.
Freshman Season (2023-24)
He participated in thirty-one games and earned twenty-five starting assignments during his freshman campaign at Kankakee Community College. He averaged 11.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while establishing himself as a key contributor. He shot 48.2 percent from the field, connecting on 136 of 282 attempts, though he struggled from three-point range with just five makes on twenty-one attempts for 23.8 percent. At the free-throw line, he converted eighty-five of 121 attempts for 70.2 percent. His best performance came in the conference tournament against Triton on March 7, when he scored twenty-one points on nine-of-fifteen shooting. He also recorded twenty points against Kennedy-King on January 13. Throughout the season, he pulled down 142 total rebounds, including forty-four offensive boards, and demonstrated his defensive prowess by recording fifty-one steals and twenty-one blocks. His ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor provided a strong foundation for his continued development as he progressed to his sophomore season.
