College of Coastal Georgia

Zack Rogers joined the Coastal Georgia staff as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach prior to the 2016-17 school year.

In his first season, Rogers took the Coastal Georgia men's team to the NAIA national championship tournament while guiding the women's team to a winning season which included a berth in the semifinals at the Southern States Athletic Conference tournament.

Prior to Coastal Georgia 

Rogers came to Coastal Georgia after previously coaching at Dalton State, where he built the Roadrunners men’s team into one of the top NAIA programs.

Rogers was part of the initial coaching staff for the newly established athletic department at Dalton State. He compiled a 45-18 record in three seasons with the Roadrunners, taking them to the NAIA national tournament in their first two seasons in 2015 and 2016.

In his final season with Dalton State, the men won 19 matches and advanced to the semifinals of the national tournament. The Roadrunners were ranked fourth in the final Top 25 poll. They won the SSAC regular-season championship and played in the finals of the conference tournament. Rogers was named SSAC Coach of the Year.

With the Roadrunners, Rogers coached three NAIA academic All-Americans, 10 conference all-academic players, and seven all-conference selections. His team was also chosen as an NAIA Scholar-Team and had the highest team GPA at Dalton State.

Personal

Rogers is a native of Dalton. He played high school tennis at Dalton High, graduating from the local school in 1994. He played one season at Young Harris and later was a member of the powerful Tyler Junior College team.

Rogers earned his associate degree from Tyler in professional tennis management in 2011. He earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies from Southern New Hampshire in 2013. Rogers has also completed a master’s degree in human resources development from Clemson and a master's of Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University. He is currently pursuing a third master's in positive psychology from the University of Missouri. 

While in Texas, Rogers was a teaching professional at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch from 2009-11, teaching in the adult and junior programs. He also was the assistant professional for the Crown Colony Country Club from 2011-12 and was involved in all aspects of managing the private facility. His duties there included fostering partnerships with area high schools, colleges, and universities.
