Freshman Season (2024-25)

Maylei participated in twenty-one games and earned six starting assignments during her inaugural collegiate campaign. She averaged 3.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game while shooting 32.0 percent from the field and an impressive 37.0 percent from three-point range. Her best scoring performance came against New College of Florida on February 8, when she recorded a season-high ten points. She demonstrated her rebounding prowess in the season opener against Middle Georgia State on October 29, pulling down a double-digit ten rebounds in that contest. Her ability to contribute in multiple facets as a freshman showcased her versatility and potential for continued growth. Throughout the season, she gained valuable experience while balancing her time between starting assignments and coming off the bench, steadily adapting to the speed and physicality of college basketball. Her solid three-point shooting percentage and willingness to attack the glass positioned her as a promising young player with room for significant development in future seasons.

High School Career

She attended Big Springs High School in Newville, where she established herself as a well-rounded player and team leader. During her senior season, she averaged 10.2 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game while demonstrating efficiency from the free-throw line with a 76.0 percent conversion rate. Her balanced statistical production and ability to impact the game in multiple ways demonstrated her readiness for collegiate competition and provided a strong foundation for her transition to the next level.
