Christie Arias

Christie Arias was named the men's and women's head tennis coach in July of 2024 after former head coach Zack Rogers was promoted to Director of Athletics. She is a Golden Isles local, having been born and raised on St. Simons Island and attended Glynn Academy. She credits her early development in tennis to local coaches Dave Mclean, Lu Fendig, Ken Thompson, and Jim Parker. Arias earned her undergraduate degree and MBA from Florida Southern College where she played on the women's tennis team. After playing for FSC, she earned a position on the USTA top 500 list and had a short stent on the ITA circuit.

Arias's first team coaching stop came at William J. Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, where she served as the head girls' tennis coach for one season. In June of 2017, her and her husband opened Kevin Arias Tennis which provides tennis instruction to clients of all ages in Aspen. She also owns Kidz Hike in Aspen where she takes 3 to 7 year olds on their first hiking adventures. In addition to tennis, Arias is passionate about helping mothers start and grow their own businesses. She also enjoys hiking, skiing and biking with her husband, Kevin, and their 4 children.

Arias will take over both programs rich with winning tradition, with the men's team appearing in three straight NAIA National Tournaments from 2021-2024.Â
