Zack Rogers was named the Director of Athletics in June of 2024 after previously serving as the Interim Deputy Athletics Director since Jan. 1, 2023, while also serving as the men’s and women’s tennis coach for seven seasons prior to his promotion.

During the 2023-24 season as the Interim Deputy Athletics Director, Rogers saw five of the seven athletic programs receive NAIA Scholar Teams Honors, 19 Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes, 23 Academic All-Conference selections, five NAIA All-Americans, and 16 All-Conference selections. Rogers also saw three teams and one individual make their respective NAIA National Tournaments, as well as the 2024 Softball Regular Season Championship for the third time in program history. 

A native of Dalton, Ga., Rogers played tennis one year at Young Harris before later joining junior college powerhouse Tyler Junior College where he would earn his Associate’s Degree in Professional Tennis Management. Rogers went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Southern New Hampshire in 2013 before earning a Master’s from Clemson in Human Resources Development and from Georgia Southern in Kinesiology. In the spring of 2024, Rogers earned his master's degree in Sport Management from the University of West Georgia.

Rogers began his coaching career in 2009 at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas until 2011 when he joined the Crown Colony Country Club as an assistant professional until 2012 when he went to Dalton State.

Since being at Coastal Georgia he has been extremely involved in and out of the athletics department. He currently serves as the NAIA Champions of Character Liaison, the Student Athlete Leadership Team (or SALT) advisor and is the Vice President of Staff Assembly. Rogers has also been on several ITA and Sun Conference committees while also being the Director of the St. Simons Island Tennis Program where he teaches local middle school and high school students the game of tennis.
