BRUNSWICK, Ga- Defeating Paine College (0-3), Coastal Georgia men's basketball is now 4-1. Leading the Mariners in scoring, Nick Jiles, Layton Veon, and Salle Wilson totaled 64 points in their 84-83 victory over the Lions. Jiles recorded his season high with 27 points as well as Wilson with 19. Veon fought around the rim to earn a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Coming out hot, the Mariners grasped an 11 point lead with 12 minutes remaining in the half. The Lions soon took control, cutting this lead down to 2 as they entered halftime 5 for 10 from the tray. 

This game came down to the wire as both teams battled hard every second of the final 20 minutes. However, the fight ended in Coastal's favor.
