No. 24 Mariners Complete the Sweep Over the Lions

BRUNSWICK, Ga.- The Coastal Georgia softball team (26-5, 11-1) completed its sweep of Florida Memorial (9-15, 3-9) on Saturday afternoon with an 11-2 win (5 innings).

Hayley Dickerson picked up her 14th win of the season as she struck out seven batters and allowed just four hits and two runs.

Sarah Thinger led the way offensively with two hits and three RBI's as well as two stolen bases. Julianna Bellflower capped off her impressive weekend with another multi-RBI game knocking in two runs on a single in the fifth inning.

Bryce Peacock, Malarie Peacock and McCall Maret all recorded multi-hit games combining for six of the Mariners 12 hits.

The Mariners were again rock solid on defense, finishing the weekend with just two errors, both of which came in game two.

Coastal Georgia has now won 14 straight games and 23 of their last 24 games.

UP NEXT: The Mariners will travel to Lakeland, Fla. to take on No. 17 Southeastern on Thursday, April 6 and a doubleheader on Friday, April 7.
