Mariner's Close Out Regular Season With Wins Over Royals

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BRUNSWICK, Ga.- The No. 13 Coastal Georgia men's tennis team and (RV) women's tennis team closed out its season with a 6-1 and 7-0 win over Warner on Saturday afternoon, respectively.

The Mariners men's team now sits at in fourth in the Sun Conference standings and will look to improve their case for the NAIA National Tournament with the conference tournament coming up in a couple of weeks.

With this win, the women's team secured a spot in the Sun Conference Tournament where they have the chance to play the spoiler and grind their way into the NAIA National Tournament.

On the men's side, doubles pair of Lucas Landaluce and Aymeric Bruno finished the season strong as they have lost just twice all season at the No. 1 for doubles. Trey Maust and Adrien Guye secured the doubles point with a 6-0 win on court two while Santiago Speranza and Gonzalo Tano won on court three for good measure.

Bruno moved up into line No. 2 for singles and did not disappoint taking his match 6-2, 6-2. Ramon Martinez Fererr took line No. 3 while Felix Arroyo Viglino took court No. 4.

Guye and Speranza closed out the bottom of the lineup with wins at court No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.

For the women, Ana Gonzalez and Paula Cigarran took their doubles line 6-0 while Lisa McKenzie and Danielle Silvan secured the doubles point with a 6-2 win on court three. Chloe Do Lago and Azul Malatini secured the sweep on court two with a 6-4 win.

The Mariners carried that momentum over to singles play, winning at all their lines to secure the 7-0 win and a spot in the conference tournament.
