Mariners Struggle on Final Day of the Milligan Mountain Madness Tournament

MILLIGAN, Tenn.- The Coastal Georgia volleyball team (2-2) rounded out the Milligan Mountain Madness Tournament dropping matches to No. 12 Taylor University and (RV) Blue Mountain University.

The Mariners fell to Taylor (5-1) 3-1 in their first match of the day. Coastal Georgia came out strong – looking to build off its impressive 2-0 start on Friday – winning the first set 27-25.

However, the Trojans took care of business from there, winning the next three sets. The Mariners did not make it easy on them, though, as the second and fourth sets were decided by three points.

In the second game, the Mariners looked to be out of gas as the Toppers (4-1) made quick work of them, winning 25-15, 25-11 and 25-14.

UP NEXT: Coastal Georgia will co-host the Bash at the Beach next weekend with Brewton-Parker as the Mariners will play four games over two days.
