Raevyn Russell led the Mariners with 18 kills as Cassidy Casey and Paula Perez Rosales added their fair share with 12 and 11 kills, respectively.

Chantiya Johnson recorded five blocks while Skylar Gribben and Jenna Rogers held down the back line, going for 21 and 13 digs, respectively.

Senior Rebecca Brown recorded 22 assists and 12 digs to notch her first double-double of the season. Sara Hansen was right behind Brown with 19 assists of her own to along with nine digs.

Sydney Martin and Elena Gkiourda both recorded five kills to round out the rest of the major attackers for Coastal.

Despite a riled-up crowd, the Mariners were able to block out the noise and deliver the knock-out punch in the fourth set, jumping out to an early 4-0 lead. Coastal kept its foot on the gas and ran all the way to a 17-8 lead which allowed them to control the flow of the game.

COACHES CORNER- Val Every

"Pumped to get our first conference win. Warner's team is always scrappy and their home crowd is always awesome. Big props to our middle blockers who helped us get into the flow of our offense and were able to get us points at the net. Our back line, Julia Neveu, Jenna Rogers and Skylar Gribben all played well and went the extra mile. Looking forward to our home match against Keiser on Saturday."

UP NEXT: The Mariners will host Keiser University on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. in the Howard Coffin Gym.
