BRUNSWICK, Ga. - The College of Coastal Georgia athletic and tennis departments would like to thank former Mariner tennis player John Thomas Powell for his generous donation to the CCGA Tennis program this afternoon.

A member of the Mariners men's tennis team in 2019-20 and a native of St. Simons Island, Powell held a community wide tennis tournament at the Marta B Torrey tennis Complex, raising money for the community. Out of generosity, Powell donated some of his proceeds to the tennis program to assist with any expected expenses for the upcoming season.
