The Mariners (1-6, 0-1 SUN) looked poised to take the doubles point early as Kirmayr and Ciriaci took line one, but lines two and three could not hold up leading to the doubles point swinging to the Eagles (5-5). For the first time since the win over ABAC, the Mariners picked up three line wins in singles, getting wins at lines one, three, and four, but it was not enough as Judson picked up the right amount of lines to take the match over CCGA.
The Mariners return to action on Wednesday, March 12, as they host Georgetown on their home courts. First serve is set for 12:00 p.m. from the Marta B. Torrey Tennis Complex.
