Women's Golf in Third After Day Two

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. -  The College of Coastal Georgia women's golf team shot a second round 308 in the Sun Conference tournament as they fell one position to third with just 18 holes to play. 

Elise Forberg paced the Mariners on the course in round two with a 75 as she currently sits in ninth place. Two spots ahead on the leaderboard, Madelyn Taylor did not have her best on the course Monday afternoon, firing a seven over to finish in seventh place going into the last day. Both Carlin Paulk and Claire Wickes shot 77's in round two and both are inside the top 20, while Laura Kate Kessler shot a nine over in round two but remains inside the top 15. 

Keiser leads the way at nine over par, followed by SCAD-Savannah at 26 over. CCGA, Southeastern, and St Thomas round out the top five. 

The third and final round will commence from Pine Lakes with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday morning.
