2025 NFCA All-Region

Softball Bryant Gray

Mills and Smith Named NFCA All-Region

BRUNSWICK, Ga. - With the offseason now in full swing, the College of Coastal Georgia softball team will now rake in the offseason awards, as two members were recognized as NFCA All-Region performers for the 2025 season.

Rylee Mills was named to the first team all-region team as a P/UTL player while Rylie Smith brought home the second team all-region honors at the DP position.

Mills had another incredible season for the Mariners, doing it all, both in the batter's box and in the pitching circle. The sophomore led the team in batting average (.358), hits (58), doubles (16), RBI's (41), total bases (76) and walks (25) offensively, quickly becoming the heartbeat of the Mariners offense. In the circle, Mills threw a team leading 157.1 innings and posted a 2.00 ERA over that span.

As for Smith, she had one of the best power seasons by a Mariner in school history, bashing 10 long balls on her way to second all time in school history, trailing Olivia Husted by just one round tripper. Smith also led the team with an impressive .613 slugging percentage on the season.

Mills now joins an elite list of former Mariners to earn multiple NFCA All-Region nods, joining Bryce Peacock, Melani Jones, and Hayley Dickerson as the only four players in school history with multiple times on that list.
