Biography
Freshman Season (2023-24)
Braden appeared in twenty-nine games and earned fifteen starting assignments during his freshman campaign at Trinity Valley Community College. He averaged 3.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game while logging 2.9 minutes per contest. He shot 41.1 percent from the field, connecting on thirty-seven of ninety attempts, and converted ten of thirty-nine three-point attempts for 25.6 percent. At the free-throw line, he made twelve of seventeen attempts for 70.6 percent. His best offensive performance came against Jacksonville College on December 2, when he exploded for fourteen points on six-of-nine shooting from the field and two-of-four from three-point range. He also recorded fourteen points against Paris Junior College on March 2. Throughout the season, he pulled down thirty-nine total rebounds, including eleven offensive boards, and distributed forty-eight assists while recording eleven steals and two blocks. He maintained a strong assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.9, demonstrating excellent court vision and ball security. His ability to facilitate the offense and make efficient plays when called upon provided valuable depth to the Cardinals' backcourt.
High School
He spent one season at Link Year Prep in Branson, Missouri, before playing at Gunnison High School in Colorado. He earned Class 3A All-State Selection honors after averaging 22.0 points, 4.0 assists, and 8.0 rebounds as a senior at Gunnison High School. He was also recognized as the 3A Western Slope League Player of the Year, establishing himself as one of the top players in Colorado's Class 3A ranks before continuing his career at the collegiate level.
