How It Happened:

1st HALF: The Mariners came out of the gate hot, jumping out to a 7-0 lead thanks to a pair of layups by Sonia Forney and a three-pointer by Kelsey Leedle.

The Tigers battled back, however, cutting the Mariner's lead to just three at the 7:20 mark. From there, the Mariners went on a 9-2 run that was capped off by an and-one by Forney.

The Mariners build on that early lead as the first quarter ended 29-14. Coastal Georgia kept its foot on the gas after the break and thanks to 12 combined 2nd quarter points from Forney and Joyce Jordan, the Mariners went into halftime with a 49-27 lead.

2nd HALF: Gabby Litvak trained a three at the beginning of the second half, giving the Mariners their largest lead of the game, 25 points. The Tigers outscored the Mariners 17-13 in the third quarter but still could not gain any momentum.

The Tigers cut the Mariner's lead down to 10 thanks to a 9-0 run starting at the 7:19 mark in the final quarter. The Mariners were able to survive that run as they held Voorhees to just one point in the last 4:43 of the game to secure its first win of the season.
