Rhodin Sets Career-High in Mariners Win Over Keiser

Box Score

BRUNSWICK, Ga.- The Coastal Georgia women's basketball team (3-15, 2-7) defeated Keiser University (12-9, 3-6) 54-42 on Thursday night to record their second straight Sun Conference win of the season.

Freshman guard Iesha Rhodin scored a career-high 18 points in the win and Nicole Hofmann finished with 11 points and recorded three three-pointers to eclipse 100 career three-pointers made.

Along with her scoring outburst, Rhodin also snagged a career-high eight rebounds, six of which were offensive. The freshman played far more maturely than her age on both ends of the court to help anchor the Mariners on their way to victory.

Joyce Jordan finished with 11 points as well, while Sonia Forney recorded six points and 11 rebounds. Wings Gabby Litvak and Kelsey Leedle combined for seven points while Andranique Voorhies made her impact felt on the defensive side grabbing eight rebounds and blocking a shot.

For the Seahawks, Kennedy Schlabach and Elise Ellison-Coons recorded 15 and 13 points, respectively to lead their team. No other Seahawk scored more than four points as the Mariners held up strong on the defensive end.

As a team, Keiser was held to shooting just 22.6 percent from the field and 11.8 percent from the three-point line. The Mariners were not much better, however, as they shot 28.6 percent from the field but did hit their threes at a 38 percent clip.
