Mariners Drop Fifth Conference Game to Keiser

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Coastal Georgia men's basketball team (2-10, 0-5) fell to Keiser University (9-6, 4-2) by a score of 82-57 on Tuesday night to begin 2023.

Nick Jiles led the way again offensively for the Mariners scoring 13 points. Layton Veon and Kenny Brown combined for 18 points and eight steals while Mason McMurray scored eight points and grabbed eight boards.

Antonio Muller and Tre Moore combined for 10 points to round out the rest of the major scorers for the Mariners.

As a team, the Mariners shot just 36.4 percent from the field while Keiser hit 48.5 percent of their shots which ended up being the biggest difference in the game.

Keiser was led by Brandon Farmer and Brandon Younger who combined for 26 points and 15 rebounds as they shot an efficient 11-19 from the field. Core'von Lott and Christian Miller-Cardwell also finished in double figures, scoring 11 and 10, respectively.

UP NEXT: The Mariners will host Webber International on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 7:30 pm in the Coffin Gym.
