Women’s Golf Finishes 5th of 20 at Innisbrook

Madelyn Taylor Places 4th Individually

PALM HARBOR, Fla. – The Coastal Georgia women's golf team turned in an impressive performance at the Invite at Innisbrook played on September 29–30, finishing 5th out of 20 teams in a strong NAIA field.

The Mariners competed against several ranked top programs, holding their own throughout the 54-hole tournament at the Innisbrook Golf Resort's South Course.

Sophomore Madelyn Taylor led the charge for Coastal, carding rounds of 71, 70, and 74 to finish in 4th place individually. Her consistent play set the tone for the team across all three rounds.

Other standout performers included Carlin Paulk, who finished in 11th place, and Elise Forberg, who secured a top-30 finish at 27th overall.

Head Coach Nicole Johns praised her team's effort and resilience. "The team played great," Johns said. "After the first round, they really turned it around and improved by 10 strokes. They held it together even after some challenging holes."

The Mariners will return to action on October 13–14 for another 54-hole tournament at the Jupiter Collegiate Invitational in Jupiter, Florida.
