Mariner's Women's Golf Places 8th at Women's Winter Invite

The College of Coastal Georgia women's golf team finished eighth out of fifteen teams at the Coastal Georgia Women's Winter Invitational. The Mariners posted a team score of 54-over par for the tournament, edging out Morningside, which finished at 58-over, and finishing just behind New College of Florida at 52-over. The competitive field made for a tight leaderboard throughout the event, with only a few strokes separating several teams.

Mariner standout Madelyn Taylor led the way for Coastal Georgia, tying for fifth place individually alongside Keiser's Sophia Sindersberger. Both players finished the tournament at 4-over par, delivering consistent performances across the rounds. Taylor's strong showing helped anchor the Mariners' team effort and kept them in contention among the top programs in attendance.

The rest of the Coastal Georgia lineup also made solid contributions, with the entire team landing inside the top 60 on the individual leaderboard. Elise Forberg and Carlin Paulk finished back-to-back in 33rd and 34th place, respectively, adding valuable strokes to the team total. Their steady play throughout the tournament highlighted the depth of the Mariners' roster.

With the result, Coastal Georgia now sits at No. 15 in the latest NAIA National Rankings. The Mariners will look to build on their momentum when they travel to Mobile, Alabama, to compete in the 2026 Ram's Spring Invite on March 2.
