Montgomery, Ala. – For the College of Coastal Georgia women's volleyball team, the second day of the Faulkner Invitational produced the same results as the tournament's opening day.
On Saturday, the Mariners lost both of their matches 3-0, losing to Lindsey Wilson and also Bryan University in their third and fourth matches of the Faulkner event. The Mariners also lost by 3-0 scores on Friday to Warner University and Webber International. All four schools are NAIA member schools.
All said, the Mariners lost all 12 sets they played over both days of the tournament. The four losses dropped Coastal Georgia to 5-8 for the season. The team will return to action next Saturday when it hosts a tri-match that also involves Southeastern University and Southern Wesleyan.
On Saturday, the Mariners dropped the match to Lindsey Wilson (7-6), which received votes in the previous national poll, by 15-25, 22-25, 19-25.
Against Bryan (9-6), the Mariners fell 23-25, 20-25, 16-25.
