Brunswick, Ga. – The College of Coastal Georgia women's volleyball team finished out the Coastal Georgia Tri-Match Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Wesleyan College.
The Mariners knocked off the Wolves 25-7, 25-14, 25-14 to win its second match of the day at Howard Coffin Gym. The Mariners started the action with a 3-1 win over Dalton State.
In the middle match of the day, Dalton State also defeated Wesleyan.
With both of their victories on Saturday, Coastal Georgia (23-9) ran its team-record winning streak to 11 matches. The Mariners also stayed unbeaten at home this season with their 13th victory at Coffin Gym.
The Mariners will put their perfect home mark and winning streak on the line on Tuesday when they host No. 19 Embry-Riddle for a 6 p.m. match that will close out the regular season.
In Saturday's win over Wesleyan, the Mariners notched 43 kills in 81 attempts and hit .432 for the match. The team had just eight errors.
Wesleyan managed just 10 kills for the match in 70 swings and finished hitting .057.
Rachel Amundson had a big match for the Mariners with 15 kills in 28 attacks and hit .464 for the contest. Allie Shannon contributed nine kills while Joy Ogide totaled eight.
Cayley Meiners was credited with 30 assists for the Mariners.
Allie Shannon led Coastal Georgia with 12 digs and Kansas Robison recorded 10.
Malea Fiaseu led Wesleyan with seven kills.
