Mount Vernon, Ga. - The College of Coastal Georgia women's volleyball team cruised past Brewton-Parker on Tuesday night, winning 3-0 in the second Southern States Athletic Conference matchup between the teams this season.
Coastal Georgia, which is now ranked No. 21 in the country, won by scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-15.
The Mariners also defeated Brewton-Parker 3-0 in a mid-week match at Howard Coffin Gym in late September.
With the win, the Mariners ran their record to 22-3 for the season while improving to 12-1 in SSAC matches.
The Barons fell to 2-19 overall and 0-13 in the conference.
Kyra White had a huge match for the Mariners, finishing with 16 of the team's 37 kills. She also had two aces and three solo blocks.
Cayley Meiners recorded 29 assists.
The Mariners finished with 11 aces. Regan Coughlin and Cayley Meiners added three each as well.
Alyssa Keeve led the defense with 19 digs while Coughlin recorded 15 digs.
The Mariners also got two solo blocks from Kara Neisen.
The Barons managed just 12 kills and made 17 attack errors.
Coastal Georgia is scheduled to face Brenau a second time this season on Saturday in Brunswick, Match time is set for 2 p.m. The Mariners defeted the Golden Tigers 3-0 earlier this season in Gainesville.
