WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Coastal Georgia Mariners (6-5, 1-1) fall in three sets to Sun Conference foe Keiser University (14-5, 2-0).

The Mariners had a tough time handling Keiser's tough offense, letting up 52 kills to their 22. Three Keiser Seahawks landed double digit kills.
Offensively, the Mariners had a trio collect six kills during today's match: junior transfer middle blocker Alison Muldrow (JR/Crosby, Texas ), freshman rightside Lillian Carlson (FR/St. Louis, Mo. ) and senior outside Addie Pedraza (SR/El Paso, Texas).
Muldrow finished the game with a .333 hitting percentage in addition to contributing two digs and 7.0 points. This is Muldrow's fourth game hitting over .300 this season.
Junior setter Ashley Kot (JR/Venice, Fla. ) led the Mariners with 10 assists and senior libero Yorelis Rios Gonzalez (SR/Barranquitas, Puerto Rico) added 11 digs. Both junior Gardielez Rios-Andjuar and senior Madie Bunge (SR/Cedar Park, Texas) contributed four digs apiece.
As a team, the Mariners blocking was their strongest statistical category. The Mariners finished the match with ten block assists and 5.0 total blocks. This is a team season-high for a three-set match. They out blocked the Seahawks, who totaled 8 block assists and 4.0 total blocks.
The Mariners strong front row defense came from all over the front row. Muldrow, sophomore middle Tamaira Laezza (SO/Zephyrhills, Fla.), sophomore rightside Adair Werley (SO/Buford, Ga.) and senior outside Sam Kepler (SR/Sacramento, Calif.) all added two block assists. Carlson and Pedraza each contributed one.
The Mariners are back in action on Tuesday, September 17 at 6:00p.m. against Savannah State University. Coastal Georgia will return home for their third Sun Conference match against Ave Maria on Saturday, September 21.
