Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Coastal Georgia volleyball team (7-9(0-4)) lost 3-1 to Keiser University (23-5(4-2)) on Saturday.
The Mariners lost the first two sets 25-17 before winning the third set 25-16.
The third set was all Coastal Georgia, holding the Seahawks to a -.042 hitting percentage while recording a .318 hitting percentage of their own.
The Seahawks had their hands full in the fourth set, however, as they were tied with the Mariners at 20. But a quick 5-2 run by Keiser would seal its fourth Sun Conference win of the season.
Offensively, the Mariners were led by Sydney Martin and Paula Perez Rosales who recorded 12 and 11 kills, respectively.
They both had impressive defensive performances as well with Perez Rosales recording her fourth double-double of the season after recording 10 digs while Martin recorded 4.5 blocks.
Junior Elena Gkiourda stepped in at the libero position for the first time this season marking the fifth Mariner to play that position in a game.
Setters Rebecca Brown and Breanna Tanton combined for 33 assists, Brown recording 22 and Tanton tacking on the other 11.
