Box Score AVE MARIA, Fla. – The College of Coastal Georgia Mariners (29-4, 12-3) still remain atop of the Sun Conference after going 2-1 in the series against the Ave Maria Gyrenes (8-8, 18-20). Coastal Georgia won game three 10-5 today.

- Elizabeth McGovern got the start for the Mariners. She pitched 5.0 innings. She allowed 10 hits and five runs. She earned the win. McGovern struck out three batters.
- Dickerson finished the last 2.0 innings of the final game. She struck out two batters and allowed no hits and no runs.

The Ave Maria Gyrenes got on board in the first, scoring three runs, two unearned runs to take the lead in game three.
Coastal Georgia answered in the second, scoring three runs and taking the lead. Dickerson started the inning off with a walk, she stole second. Then on a ground out, she advanced to third. On a single to centerfield from Malarie Peacock, the first Mariner run scored. On a single from Thinger, M. Peacock advanced to second, they all moved on base forward when Jones walked. Two runs came in on a Maret double and made the score 3-3 going into the bottom of the inning.
Ave Maria added a single run in the bottom of the second off two hits and one error. The score was 4-3 in favor of Ave Maria.
The Mariners tacked on three runs off three hits in the top of the fourth. M. Peacock started the inning off with a walk and advanced to second on a single from Thinger. Coastal Georgia looked to load the bases with a bunt single from Jones, but M. Peacock kept digging and scored on a throwing error by the Gyrenes. With two runners on, Kagee doubled down the right-field line scoring Maret and Jones. The score was 6-4 after the top of the first.
The Gyrenes added one run in the bottom of the fifth and Coastal Georgia answered in the top of the sixth. The Mariners scored their only run off the inning off a single from Rowell scoring Thinger.
Coastal Georgia scored three more runs in the top of the seventh. With one out on board, Wood doubled to left field. Denise Dees pinch ran for Wood. She moved to second on a single from Rhodes and scored when THinger hit a single. Two more runs scored when Maret singled through the left side, scoring Thinger and Rhodes.
The final score of the game was 10-5 in favor of the Mariners. Coastal Georgia secured the game three win and the series victory.
