Jones then singled to left-center to get two runners on the bases. Then Maret was also hit by a pitch to load the bases. Back-to-back outs made things look grim for the Mariners but Kagee came up and singled to left field scoring both Jones and Thinger.

Coastal Georgia led 2-0 until the top of the third. The Gyrenes added one run in the third and fourth to tie the game up with just three innings left to play.

Both teams were held scoreless until the bottom of the seventh inning when the Mariners would pull off a walk-off victory. Maret doubled to left-center and advanced to third on a passed ball. When Cevana Wood singled through the left side, Maret scored and won the game.

Up Next: The Mariners take on the No. 1 seed the Southeastern Fire today. The game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Because the Mariners have lost the opening game in the tournament, to advance they must overcome the Southeastern Fire.
