Mariners Look to Spoil Blazers Home Opener

BRUNSWICK, Ga.- The Coastal Georgia volleyball team is set to take on Valdosta State at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5 in Valdosta, Ga.

The Mariners (2-2) haven't played a match since Aug. 26 as weather canceled the programs Bash at the Beach tournament scheduled for this past weekend.

The Blazers, on the other hand, are coming off their first action of the season as they went 2-1 in the Lenoir-Rhyne Tournament. Tuesday's match will be Valdosta State's home opener for the 2023 season.

These two teams have faced off just twice in their histories. The first came on Sept. 1, 2012, and the most recent on Sept. 5, 2018. The Blazers won both matches handedly with 3-0 sweeps.
