Mariners Prepare for First Home Matches of the Season

BRUNSWICK, Ga.- The Mariners will host their first home matches of the season on Saturday, Sept. 9 when they play Florida College (3-6) at 12 p.m. followed by a match against Wesleyan College (1-1) at 3 p.m. with the Falcons and Wolves playing a match in between.

Coastal Georgia (2-3) looks to snap a three-game skid with Sun Conference play looming. Their last time out, the Mariners got off to a strong start against Valdosta State winning set one 27-25 before dropping the next three.

The Falcons will come into Saturday's match having suffered a 3-1 loss to Southeastern on Thursday while the Wolves will come in riding high on a 3-0 win they recorded against Paine College on Thursday.

HISTORY-
The Mariners are a combined 9-1 against these two schools. Their first loss came last season at the hands of Florida College but the Mariners soundly beat Wesleyan as they allowed the Wolves to score just six points in the first set on their way to a 3-0 win.
