Women's Golf Stays Put and Finishes Seahawk Sailboat Shootout in Seventh Place

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - After shooting a final round of 311, the College of Coastal Georgia women's golf team wrapped up the Seahawk Sailboat Shootout with a seventh place finish. 

Three Mariners finished inside the top 25 on the leaderboard, including Elise Forberg who tied for the low round of the day with Morgan Herring after both shot a 75 in their final rounds. Herring finished with back-to-back 75's on her scorecard to move into 31st place. 

Carlin Paulk finished the tournament in 23rd place after an 80 in her final round while Madelyn Taylor finished one spot in front of Paulk in 22nd place after an 82 in her third round. Wrapping up the scoring, Madison Melton finished with an 81 and in 39th place. 

Host school Keiser picked up the win finishing 12 strokes better than second place Palm Beach Atlantic. SCAD-Savannah, SCAD-Atlanta, and Faulkner rounded out the top five. 

The Mariners will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday when they travel to Palm Harbor, Fla. for the Invite at Innisbrook.
