LAKELAND, Fla. – Coastal Georgia had four players score in double figures and received a strong boost from its bench, but Southeastern's efficient shooting night carried the Fire to a 108–73 decision on Wednesday.
The Mariners opened with an early lead after a Kycean Pruett three-pointer, but Southeastern responded with a series of runs fueled by timely three-point shooting and second-chance points. The Fire shot 60.6% in the first half, including 6-of-13 from beyond the arc, to take a 56–36 lead into the break.
Coastal Georgia settled in offensively in the second half, shooting 45% from the field and getting consistent production from its reserves, but Southeastern continued its hot shooting. The Fire finished the night at 62.7% from the floor and 46.2% from three while adding 21 second-chance points.
Isaiah Edden led the Mariners with 13 points, including two threes, while also adding three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Jeremiah Camara followed with 12 points and a team-high six rebounds. Mannie Harris added 14 points—seven in each half—while contributing three assists. Off the bench, Aamir Mack delivered 11 points and five rebounds, helping the Mariners outscore Southeastern's reserves 35–25.
Khylan McKennie provided seven points, three rebounds, and three steals, and Braden Wood added eight points, including a three-pointer, in 19 minutes of action.
Coastal Georgia shot 44.3% from the field and converted 12 points off 16 Southeastern turnovers but could not overcome the Fire's efficiency from deep and at the rim.
The Mariners move to 3–5 overall and 1–1 in Sun Conference play. Coastal Georgia returns home this weekend, looking to bounce back in front of the home crowd.
