The Coastal Georgia Athletics community is celebrating a trio of prestigious honors recognizing excellence, leadership, and lasting impact across collegiate and scholastic athletics.
Corey Harris Inducted into North Cobb Christian Athletics Hall of Fame
Corey Harris, head coach of the Coastal Georgia women's basketball program, has been inducted into the North Cobb Christian Athletics Hall of Fame, recognizing his achievements as a student-athlete and his long-standing impact on the sport of basketball. The induction honors Harris' success at the scholastic level, where he was known not only for his on-court performance, but also for his leadership, work ethic, and commitment to team success.
That foundation has carried over into his coaching career at Coastal Georgia, where Harris has focused on building a competitive and disciplined women's basketball program rooted in player development and culture. Under his leadership, the Mariners have emphasized growth both on and off the court, with a strong focus on accountability, academic success, and preparing student-athletes for life beyond basketball. His Hall of Fame induction serves as a reflection of the values that continue to guide his approach as a collegiate head coach.
Mike Cook Inducted into GCAA Hall of Fame
Mike Cook, head coach of the Coastal Georgia men's golf program, has been inducted into the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class — one of the highest honors in collegiate golf coaching.
Cook was hired as the first head men's golf coach at Coastal Georgia in 2010 and has since built the Mariners into a national power. Under his leadership, Coastal Georgia captured back-to-back NAIA National Championships in 2014 and 2015, made 11 consecutive NAIA National Championship appearances, and produced more than 45 tournament victories and over 50 All-America honors. His teams have consistently excelled both competitively and academically, setting a national standard for sustained success.
Cook's impact extends beyond championships, as he has played a significant role in mentoring student-athletes and contributing to the growth of collegiate golf through service within the GCAA. His Hall of Fame induction cements his legacy as one of the most influential coaches in the history of Coastal Georgia Athletics.
Devin Knight Recognized with CSC 30 Under 30
Coastal Georgia's own Devin Knight has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 30 Under 30 Class, an honor that recognizes emerging leaders making significant contributions to the athletics communications profession. The national distinction highlights professionals under the age of 30 who demonstrate innovation, leadership, and a strong commitment to elevating collegiate athletics.
Knight's recognition reflects his dedication to storytelling, brand growth, and the continued advancement of Coastal Georgia Athletics across digital, broadcast, and community platforms. The CSC 30 Under 30 program is widely regarded as one of the top honors for young professionals in the industry.
