MT PLEASANT, S.C. - A final round 319 secured 10th place for the College of Coastal Georgia women's golf team at Dunes West River and Golf Club on Tuesday morning.
Carlin Paulk, who progressively got better as the tournament went on, finished with the low round on the day, shooting a three over 75 to finish tied for 30th place. Laura Kate Kessler was the next lowest score for CCGA finishing with a 78 in round three for a T-37 finish. Kessler and Paulk fired the only two rounds in the 70's for the Mariners on the day, as Madelyn Taylor finished with an 83 and tied for 30th, Claire Wickes also shot an 83 for a T-45 finish, and Morgan Herring rounded out the scoring for CCGA shooting 14 over and finishing in 64th position.
Limestone won the tournament at 18 over par, five strokes in front of North Georgia who finished in second. Catawba, Erskine, and Coker rounded out the top five.
The Mariners will take a break from competition until March 10-11 when they travel to Statesboro to compete in the South Georgia Invitational hosted by Berry College.
