DALTON, Ga. - The College of Coastal Georgia women's golf team improved by one stroke from round one to two, finishing with a second round 312 to place fourth in the Lady Roadrunner Invitational on Tuesday morning.
It was another great day at the course for Elise Forberg who fired her second straight 74 to finish in third place, just two shots behind the leaders. Madelyn Taylor improved from round one to two , finishing with a 77 in round two for 23rd place, while Carlin Paulk shot a 79 to also finish in 23rd place. Laura Kate Kessler finished 10 over in round two for a 32nd place finish, and Claire Wickes shot 15 over in round two to finish in 59th place.
SCAD-Savannah ran away with the tournament, shooting 20 over, 17 strokes better than second place Dalton State. Truett-McConnell, CCGA, and SCAD-Atlanta rounded out the top five.
The Mariners return on April 14 and 15 when they travel to Tampa to participate in the Florida College Invitational in their last tournament before the conference tournament.
