TAMPA, Fla. - The College of Coastal Georgia women's golf team, despite not playing up to their standard of golf, held on to their lead and finished off the Florida College Invitational in first place, winning by 58 strokes on Tuesday afternoon.Â
Madelyn Taylor finished off the week impressively, finishing as the low medalist for the event after firing an eight over in round three for her first win of the season. Carlin Paulk finished in second place after a third round 10 over par, Elise Forberg finished in fourth place after a third round 14 over, Claire Wickes finished in sixth with a 17 over round three, and Laura Kate Kessler finished in 12th with a 17 over of her own.Â
The victory in Tampa concludes the regular season for the Mariners as they are off until returning to play in the Sun Conference tournament, hosted on Jekyll Island on April 27-29.Â
