Volleyball on the Road Again

BRUNSWICK, Ga.- The Coastal Georgia volleyball team (3-6, 0-2) will make another trip down south as they take on Warner University on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m.

The Mariners are coming off a 3-0 loss to Ave Maria on Saturday, a match where they lost the first two sets by just a combined five points.

The Royals (2-6, 0-2) are also winless in SUN play so far and are just as eager as Coastal to get a number in the win column.

HISTORY-

Coastal Georgia currently leads the series against Warner 13-4. Last season, however, the Mariners split with the Royals with the most recent match going in favor of Warner by a score of 3-1.

BY THE NUMBERS-

Sophomore Chantiya Johnson leads the team with .78 blocks per set which is also good for sixth-best in the SUN.
Raevyn Russell's points per set (3.20) and kills per set (2.88) both rank top 10 in the SUN for their respective categories.
Few players have been more efficient than Cassidy Casey who is eighth in the SUN with a .238 hitting percentage.
Sara Hansen and Rebecca Brown are both over 100 assists on the year and are combining for 8.33 assists per set.
